Theresa Farrell is a Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, Live Fundraising Host, and an Impact Strategist with two decades of experience raising millions for nonprofits. She is a Bonded auctioneer in CA, Member of the National Auctioneers Association, a certified Benefit Auctioneer Specialist and is one of the top 50 BidMasters in the US.
Before becoming an auctioneer…
Theresa co-founded and served as executive director of American Contemporary Ballet in Downtown Los Angeles from 2010–2020. She oversaw all fundraising, raising millions in donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and in-kind gifts. She oversaw performances and special events (approximately 70 in 2019) which included production, ticketing, customer services, and donor appreciation. As well as crafting leading the annual year-end appeal and on stage special appeals.

Theresa is a retired professional ballerina with a prolific 17‐year career as a performer. Her repertory includes the work of Blanchine, the classics, and many new ballets. She has danced with the LA Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Dita von Teese. Vice creator a segment on her receiving 10M views and she has appeared in numerous campaigns for brands such as Virgin Mobile, FaceBook, AT&T, Joe’s Jeans, Lorac Cosmetics and many more. Thanks for stopping by! Five years ago, I was living my dream as a professional ballet dancer—until an injury took me off the stage and put me in a wheelchair and walker for months. It was scary, painful, and what I thought was my worst nightmare—but instead of a dead end, that moment opened my eyes to a whole new purpose: helping organizations doing meaningful work raise the funds they need to thrive.
Today, I infuse every project with my creative background, resilience, and heartfelt passion for organizations making the world a better place. Over a decade of building and running American Contemporary Ballet taught me the leadership skills—board engagement, run-of-show creation, donor retention and stewardship, marketing, and much more—that now help me empower organizations to reach their full potential.
